LE BEAULIEU & LA TERRASSE

Originally opened in 1901 in Hanoi, the Sofitel Metropole Hotel is a famous landmark and Le Beaulieu restaurant, with its wrap-around terrace is a well-respected, iconic French restaurant. The current redesign and renovations are planned to recreate the Grand Dame of Hanoi, bringing back the period European Victorian features with a modern classic touch.

A new luxury French glass door entry leads into a walk-through wine cellar, a prelude to the grand dining room that lies beyond. Stepping down into the restaurant, a new modestly sized bar greets the guests upon entry. Panelled walls, elaborate mouldings on the ceiling, a central grand velvet banquet and custom designed crystal chandeliers exude elegance.

La Terrasse takes the restaurant to the Hanoi street side, with colonial side walk café touches. Outward facing corner sofas, black and white rattan chairs, French style tables, an overhead canopy with lanterns, and green planter boxes offer a European style dining experience.
