About the project

Conrad Shenyang Public Areas

The Conrad Hotel in Shenyang, due for opening in 2018 is designed as elegant, modern yet timeless, and truly capturing the essence of Conrad. The ground floor entrance lobby and guest transition lounge present classic elements, rich in detail and heritage, com
bine with contemporary styling, provide an element of

Guests are then taken via shuttle lift to the top floor, level 67, to check in at the main reception, positioned to maximize the amazing views over the city. A skylight above the central seating group provides a
wash of natural daylight during the day, with a floating rose bronze sculpture overhead. In the evening this sculpture becomes a floating light and fire element giving a warm inviting glow. A decorative screen provides an elegant backdrop. Classic panels in deep grey highlighted with brass trims provide the backdrop to suspended library shelving displaying artistically curated glass books.

The lobby lounge provides a comfortable, luxurious and serene space to relax, meet friends and enjoys the views, with oversized windows and high ceilings.  Contemporary ceramic art adorn the wall niches, and a canopy of brass pivoting screens pay homage to the historic Manchu houses of this region.

Conrad Shenyang Bar and Restaurants

The lobby lounge leads the guests to the signature bar, a beautifully sculpted polished brass tree trunk of which symbolic paper is represented in an amazing glass sculptural chandelier hovering in the double height ceiling above the bar.

The bar then leads the guests seamlessly into the Specialty Grille restaurant, again majestically poised at the top of the hotel, taking in the views. Tall screens woven with leather reminiscent of the exquisite tapestries and robes of the north provide privacy for the diners. The signature feature grabbing all the limelight is the grille with an oversized shimmering brass hood and open views into the kitchen and the Parrilla grille itself.

From the main reception guests can also enter the Archive, an All day dining restaurant representing a library of food heaven. Guests are encouraged to meander into each library nook to explore the many dishes on offer. A library mezzanine overhangs providing a canopy above and a central display looks like old library index filing cabinets. The Archive is cleverly directly adjacent to the Grille, to open the grille during busy breakfast periods.
